Hopes this helps,

Q: On the KT rm1 relay what is the amperage rating on them

A: The relay on the PCB edition of the KT-1 is rated 30VDC 3Amps. On the single gang mount, since it's actually an open collector output, it'S only 12VDC 100mA. I'm including a link below to the KT-1 installation guide. The information you were looking for is on page 34 as seen here:

Q: Red= Positive , Black=Negative , White=Common , Green=Normally Open , Yellow=Normally Closed

A: Thank you for sharing.

Q: Hi Richard, thanks for the video. Can you provide any additional information/description about how this relay can be integrated/applied to practical access control system functionality? Thanks in advance.

A: A discussion on how you would implement a relay into an access control system would be limited only by imagination - relays are used to integrate additional pieces of equipment into the operational requirements of your access control system - please send me an operational narrative of your deployment for further review.

Q: Hello Richard what I am trying to do is to install a remote pushbutton that can energize the door strike.Any suggestions? Thank you.

A: This would be extremely easy - please tell me the other components are involved in your circuit. Open give me an operational description of how this will be used. What is the natural state of the door? is it normally locked or normally unlocked - what will happen during and after hours - how will I exit the door and how will I access the door?

Q: Thank you. This establishment presently has a electric door strike.People ring the doorbell and the front desk attendant presses a pushbutton and the strike is energized. I am installing a KT-300 and I have a KT rm1 relay.I would like to keep the present Strike-Pushutton system in place.I am looking for the most logical way to achieve this b

A: Door locking devices are covered in the installation instructions as seen on page 30 of the manufacturer's catalog is seen here:
